Neighborhood Guide: Gastown Vancouver

Publié par le

Gastown is one of the oldest and most picturesque neighborhoods in Vancouver, British Columbia. It's located right along the waterfront and is packed full of trendy boutiques and great gastronomical eateries. The red brick cobblestone sidewalks and historically accurate lamp-lined streets give this part of town its signature “Gastown” aesthetic. If you’re in the mood for a little shopping we highly suggest a visit to shops like Litchfield, Nouvelle Nouvelle, John Fluevog Shoes, and Parliament Interiors. Each of these stores are locally owned and operated and certainly emphasize quality and what it means to be a Vancouverite. After a long day of shopping, you can catch happy hour at any of the restaurants located in neighbourhood. A few fan favourites include Juice Bar, Birds & The Beets and Gringo. Of course, you’ll have to get a photo with Whiskey Jack as well.

Birds & The Beets

This charming little spot has a special place in the heart of Gastown. Located right at 55 Powell St. Vancouver BC, the café offers a seasonal selection of delicious and locally sourced selection of breakfast and lunch items. It’s a relaxing place to enjoy your mandatory caffeine fix and enjoy a lovely meal on those breezy weekdays. We highly suggest the Avocado and Slow Poached Egg Brioche Sandwich, and everything and anything off their seasonal menu!
